When you are comparing the quotes you receive for window cleaners insurance there is one very important factor to take into account, do they all provide you with the same cover? Most insurance quotes for window cleaning do not cover you properly. You should consider the following very carefully;

Are you covered if you cause damage to glass?

There is a very good chance that the answer to this is NO. If you aren't sure you can speak to us, we know which companies give this cover and which don't. Our policy gives you this cover as standard.

Are you covered for using ladders?

These days some insurers will not cover you at all if you even look at a ladder. If you use a ladder for access only, say to a conservatory roof you won't be covered. Our policy covers you for using ladders for whatever purpose.

Are you covered for cleaning gutters, soffits, fascias?

Again, this is likely to be NO if you have opted for the cheapest quote from your local broker or an online comparison site. Its probably not obvious from your documents but if your business description says "Window Cleaner" then thats all you are covered to do, clean windows. You would be covered under the policies we offer.

Are you covered to work on all types of premises?

Once more the answer is possibly, NO. Many insurers have a restriction as to the types of premises you can work on. Check your policy or speak to us if you aren't sure. We don't have such a restriction.

What is the height limit on your policy?

Most insurer's give you a 15m height limit (about 49 feet). How long is your longest pole? Our policy offers a 25m (82ft) height limit and so far no manufacturer has made a pole that extends that much. But we can increase the height limit if you need to work off cradles, platforms etc.
